The lights in the classroom flickered on and off before the whole school turned dark. Instantly, my mind drifted back to the day I experienced a blackout in school.
The school bell resonated through the air, marking the beginning of school. I ran to my classroom, ready to start my first class. As I entered the classroom, I greeted my classmates and sat in my seat. Little did I know what was about to unfold.
When my teacher came in and started teaching, the lights in the classroom started flickering. Suddenly, the lights in the other classrooms started to flicker too. Out of nowhere, the whole school went dark. We were experiencing a nightmare as this is a blackout!
One by one, the teacher instructed us to line up so that we could gather outside safely. Then, after waiting for a long time, the lights came back on! My classmates and I were perspiring from how hot it was outside.
Once everything was back to normal, we continued learning. As I reflected on the day I experienced a blackout, I hoped that I would never experience such a thing again!
